the deal
These terms are an agreement between you and Pregame ("we", "us"). They cover the Pregame app and this website (the "service"). By creating an account you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
18+ only
You must be 18 or over to use Pregame. You must give your real date of birth. Accounts belonging to anyone under 18 will be deleted. You can only have one account, and it's for you, not shared.
what pregame is (and isn't)
Pregame helps people find and host pres (pre-drinks) and meet up before a night out. We are a platform that connects people. We don't organise, host, supervise or attend any pres, and we don't check users' identities or backgrounds. Anything that happens at a pres is between the people there.
we don't sell alcohol
Pregame doesn't sell, supply or deliver alcohol, and nothing in the app is an offer to. Hosts and guests bring their own. Drink responsibly, know your limits, and never drink and drive. For advice, visit drinkaware.co.uk.
if you host
- You're responsible for your own space and for the pres you run: who you let in, what happens there, and making sure it's safe and legal.
- Only host somewhere you have the right to use, and respect your landlord, halls rules and neighbours.
- Don't serve alcohol to anyone under 18 or to anyone who is clearly drunk.
- Don't charge entry or sell alcohol through Pregame.
- Keep your pres listing honest (time, place, capacity, vibe).
if you go to a pres
- Respect the host, their home and everyone there. If you're asked to leave, leave.
- Don't share a pres address with anyone the host hasn't accepted.
- You decide whether to go, and you go at your own risk.
staying safe
Meeting people from the internet always carries some risk. Check people's profiles and socials before you meet, tell a friend where you're going, go with a mate where you can, and trust your gut. Read our safety tips. In an emergency, call 999.
what's not allowed
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not:
- break the law, or use Pregame to organise anything illegal (including drugs or under-age drinking)
- harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or discriminate against anyone
- post nudity, sexual content, violence, hate speech, or anything involving minors
- pretend to be someone else, or use fake photos or a fake age
- spam, scam, advertise, or sell anything (including tickets or drinks) without our permission
- share someone else's address or personal details without their consent
- scrape, hack, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or get around our safety features
your content
You own the photos, posts and text you put on Pregame. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and share it within the service so the app can work. This ends when you delete it or your account, except where others have already seen it or we need to keep it for safety or legal reasons. Only post content you have the right to share, and don't post photos of people who don't want to be in them.
report, block, and termination
- Report any profile or post that breaks these rules using the flag button. We review reports, aim to act on them within 24 hours, and won't tell the other person who reported them.
- Block anyone you don't want to interact with. Hosts can also decline any request without giving a reason.
- We can remove content, limit features, or suspend or ban accounts that break these terms or put others at risk, with or without warning. Where it's fair, we'll tell you why. If you think we've got it wrong, email hello@clubmaxxing.app.
- You can stop using Pregame and delete your account at any time in settings. See how.
the service
Pregame is free. We may add paid features later and will tell you before you pay for anything. We're improving the app all the time, so features may change, and the service may sometimes be unavailable.
our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Otherwise, as far as the law allows:
- the service is provided "as is". We don't promise it will be error-free or always available;
- we aren't responsible for what users say or do, on or off the app, including at any pres, or for any loss, injury or damage at or on the way to or from a pres;
- we aren't responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses; and
- our total liability to you for anything to do with the service is limited to £100.
Apple
If you got Pregame from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance, and isn't responsible for any claims about the app (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store's Usage Rules.
changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. If you keep using Pregame after that, you accept the new terms.
law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
